CHEERS!
Hey, I’ve had all of these except the Can Feixes, and they’re good — especially the Burgans and the Atteca. I really like the Garnacha de Fuego for the money, too, but wonder if they’ve redesigned the god-awful label or not. Enjoy!
Hey Jill
I am excited as my wife and I have started to buy more spanish wines other than Tempranillo based ones to expand our palate and these are all in the “affordable to try” price range. We had a really nice Monastrell from the producer Lorca, it was good and $10.
Glad to know they are good and I will let ya know what I think and about that label.
Thanks
John
How was the tasting? Haven’t explored much spanish wine yet…We just bought a cheap–er…inexpensive ;)Monastrell last week but have yet to try it.
Hey Taster B and Jill
The tasting was good, we really liked the Albarino which we bought and the Garnacha de Fuego that we bought also. The Fuego was definitely new world with its fruit profile but was nice and smooth with a round mouthfeel and for $10 it was a good deal. I liked the Hecula Monastrell but Megan wasn’t was pleased with that. We also picked up a Ribera de duero and another fairly inexpensive Monastrell as well. We are trying to build up our Spanish palate.
Also Jill the label for the Fuego wasn’t too bad, just a close up shot of a flame on a black label. I thought the interesting thing about the label was the fact that it was a continuous sheet, like a big giant sticker. 🙂
Cheers
John
